The Shinko SR241 trials tire (for Talaria + Sur-Ron) is a 4-ply tube-type DOT-approved dual-sport motorcycle tyre built for Talaria Sting, Sting R MX4, X3, and Sur-Ron Light Bee electric dirt bikes. The SR 241 is Shinko’s classic trials tread compound — versatile enough to extend pavement range over stock knobbies while still gripping off-road, with a tough nylon carcass that resists punctures and pinch flats on rocky trails.

The SR 241 is a tube tyre — re-use or replace the inner tube depending on its condition. Balance the wheel after fitting; an unbalanced 19″ wheel makes itself known above 60 km/h. Is the Shinko SR 241 street-legal?
Yes — the SR 241 is DOT-approved. In jurisdictions that allow electric motorcycles or mopeds on public roads (including L1E homologation states), it satisfies the tyre requirements. Verify your bike’s full registration paperwork separately; a DOT tyre alone doesn’t make an off-road bike street-legal.
Tube tyre or tubeless?
Tube-type. The SR 241 needs an inner tube; you cannot run it tubeless on a stock Talaria rim. Inner tubes are sold separately and replacement is recommended at every tyre swap if the existing tube shows age cracking or punctures.
